Repayments are normally organised through Government benefits/pension/payments. If you find employment during the life of the loan and lose your benefit then it is a simple matter to set up a direct debit from your own bank account.   Download direct debit agreement form

A typical NILS loan is about $1000 ($1500 maximum) and is repaid over 12 months.

If your debts are out of control then please ask us to put you in touch with a free financial counsellor, they will do their best to help.
NILS are there to help families in need
If your circumstances change during this time then you are able to discuss a new repayment plan with your local coordinator without penalty. This scheme is designed to help those on low incomes, not add to their difficulties.
What if I find work part way through the loan?
This frequently happens, if your Government benefits/pension/payments cease because you have found work then this is straightforward. Simply let us know and switch to periodic repayments from your bank account. This can be done at the branch or via internet banking if you have it.   Download direct debit agreement form
